Larsen, the young tearaway tenor saxophonist on the Stockholm scene, has transformed herself into a sophisticated bandleader playing music that beguiles with folk roots, big melodies, catchy rhythms and terrific solo strength, she's here with a dynamic 5-piece band. They've played with musicians as diverse as Laurie Anderson, Meredith Monk, Bob Brookmeyer, John Scofeld and Maria Schneider. Music dense with polytonal contrasts and engaging song-forms.
